ANCHORAGE -- An Anchorage man died Saturday afternoon after he rolled his snowmachine west of Willow, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Jason Ivey, 20, of Anchorage, was driving his snowmachine Saturday afternoon about 1.4 miles west of West Crystal Creek Road when he hit a dip in the trail and launched into the air, troopers said. The machine hit the ground sideways and rolled several times, with Ivey still holding on.

Family and friends at the scene called troopers about 4:48 p.m. to report Ivey's wreck, and his death. There was no sign that alcohol or drugs played a part in the crash, troopers said.
